Benefits of Nipple Reduction Surgery
In nipple reduction surgery, Dr. Lussier will make small incisions to very gently remove excess tissue, ultimately giving the nipple a smaller appearance. Any residual scarring after these procedures is minimal, and typically virtually invisible. Nipple reduction surgery usually takes about one to two hours to complete, and can be performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia.

Nipple / Reduction Recovery
Patients will likely have some sensitivity and discomfort in the area for a few days after surgery; however, this can be managed with medication. Dr. Lussier advises patients to avoid strenuous and sexual activity for at least a week to 10 days after the procedure to make sure the areas have had time to heal. Most patients can resume normal daily routines about a day or two after surgery.
